Description

Soft and fluffy doughnuts infused with strawberry flavor, filled or topped with whipped cream, and finished with a sweet glaze for a delightful strawberry shortcake-inspired treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for whipped cream)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in chopped strawberries.
  6. Spoon or pipe batter into doughnut pan.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden and set.
  8. Let cool completely.
  9. Whip cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  10. Mix powdered sugar with milk to make glaze.
  11. Dip doughnuts in glaze and top with whipped cream before serving.

  • Do not overmix batter to keep doughnuts soft.
  • Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • Serve the same day for best texture.
