Description
Soft and fluffy doughnuts infused with strawberry flavor, filled or topped with whipped cream, and finished with a sweet glaze for a delightful strawberry shortcake-inspired treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for whipped cream)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in chopped strawberries.
- Spoon or pipe batter into doughnut pan.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden and set.
- Let cool completely.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk to make glaze.
- Dip doughnuts in glaze and top with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix batter to keep doughnuts soft.
- Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
- Serve the same day for best texture.
- Chill whipped cream before using.
- Add extra strawberry slices for garnish.
