Description

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries or dried strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in chopped strawberries.
- Scoop dough into small balls and roll in sugar.
- Place on baking sheet and slightly flatten.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use dried strawberries to avoid excess moisture.
- Chill dough if it becomes too sticky.
- Do not overbake to maintain softness.
- Store in the fridge for longer freshness due to cream cheese.
