Description
Pan-Seared Salmon with Crispy Skin is a simple yet elegant dish featuring perfectly cooked salmon fillets with a golden, crunchy skin and tender, flaky interior.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan.
- Press gently for the first 30 seconds to prevent curling.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
- Flip the salmon and add butter and garlic to the pan.
- Spoon melted butter over the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and remove from heat.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Dry skin well for maximum crispiness.
- Do not move the fish while searing the skin.
- Use a non-stick or well-seasoned pan.
- Serve with vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
