Description

Pan-Seared Salmon with Crispy Skin is a simple yet elegant dish featuring perfectly cooked salmon fillets with a golden, crunchy skin and tender, flaky interior.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan.
  5. Press gently for the first 30 seconds to prevent curling.
  6. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
  7. Flip the salmon and add butter and garlic to the pan.
  8. Spoon melted butter over the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  9. Drizzle with lemon juice and remove from heat.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Dry skin well for maximum crispiness.
  • Do not move the fish while searing the skin.
  • Use a non-stick or well-seasoned pan.
