Ingredients
- 14 oz smoked beef or turkey sausage, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add pasta, chicken broth, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
- Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir well.
- Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
