Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Mix gently and form into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides.
- Transfer meatballs to a baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, hot sauce, and marinara sauce.
- Add cooked meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Place meatballs into sub rolls and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
