Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


Instructions

  1. Season steak cubes with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter.
  5. Add mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned and tender.
  6. Stir in garlic and thyme, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Return steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce.
  8. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

  • Use a hot skillet for the best steak sear.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking steak.
  • Ribeye or New York strip can also be used.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
