Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Season steak cubes with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter.
- Add mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned and tender.
- Stir in garlic and thyme, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a hot skillet for the best steak sear.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking steak.
- Ribeye or New York strip can also be used.
