Description
A flavorful and easy homemade seafood boil featuring shrimp, crab, sausage, corn, and potatoes tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb crab legs
- 12 oz smoked sausage (beef or chicken), sliced
- 4 small potatoes, halved
- 2 ears corn, cut into pieces
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning or Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes until tender.
- Add corn and sausage, cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Add shrimp and crab legs, cooking for 3–4 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
- Drain everything and set aside.
- In a large pan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked seafood, sausage, corn, and potatoes to the pan and toss well.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning level to taste.
- Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
- Serve with extra lemon wedges.
- Add mussels or clams for variety.
- Best enjoyed immediately.
