Description

A flavorful and easy homemade seafood boil featuring shrimp, crab, sausage, corn, and potatoes tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab legs
  • 12 oz smoked sausage (beef or chicken), sliced
  • 4 small potatoes, halved
  • 2 ears corn, cut into pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning or Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes until tender.
  3. Add corn and sausage, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp and crab legs, cooking for 3–4 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
  5. Drain everything and set aside.
  6. In a large pan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
  7. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  8. Stir in seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  9. Add the cooked seafood, sausage, corn, and potatoes to the pan and toss well.
  10. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley.
  11. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning level to taste.
  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Serve with extra lemon wedges.
  • Add mussels or clams for variety.
  • Best enjoyed immediately.
