Description
Restaurant-style garlic butter scallops with a golden crust and tender center, finished in a rich, flavorful butter sauce for an elegant yet simple dish.
Ingredients
- 300g sea scallops, patted dry
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat scallops dry thoroughly and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat until very hot.
- Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without moving until a golden crust forms.
- Flip scallops and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add butter and garlic to the pan and spoon the melted butter over the scallops.
- Drizzle with lemon juice and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and garnish with parsley.
- Serve immediately.

- Make sure scallops are dry for a proper sear.
- Do not overcrowd the pan.
