Ingredients

  • 500g fresh anchovies, cleaned and gutted
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Rinse anchovies thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Place anchovies in the skillet in a single layer.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes if using.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until tender and lightly golden.
  7. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the anchovies.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices.
