Description
Crispy oven-fried feta rolls wrapped in flaky pastry and baked until golden, then drizzled with sweet and spicy chili honey for a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and heat. A crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 8 oz feta cheese, cut into sticks
- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1–2 tsp chili paste or hot sauce
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut feta into even sticks and pat dry.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough, brush lightly with olive oil or butter, and place a feta stick near one edge.
- Sprinkle with oregano and pepper, then roll tightly, folding in the sides like a cigar.
- Repeat with remaining feta and phyllo sheets.
- Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush tops with more oil or butter.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, warm honey with chili flakes and chili paste until combined. Stir in lemon juice.
- Remove rolls from oven and drizzle with warm chili honey.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately.

- Keep phyllo dough covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out.
- Adjust chili level to your spice preference.
