Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Toss shrimp in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Lightly spray shrimp with olive oil and place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
- In a pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice, bringing to a simmer.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
- Toss air-fried shrimp in the sauce until coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve immediately.
