Description

Crispy air-fried shrimp coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce, delivering a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and crunchy texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Toss shrimp in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  4. Lightly spray shrimp with olive oil and place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
  6. In a pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  7. Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice, bringing to a simmer.
  8. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
  9. Toss air-fried shrimp in the sauce until coated.
  10. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve immediately.
