Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat chicken wings dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Mix flour and cornstarch in a bowl, then coat the wings evenly.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry wings in batches for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
  8. Toss the fried wings in the sauce until well coated.
  9. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve immediately.
