A rich and comforting creamy mushroom chicken dish with tender chicken simmered in a savory garlic mushroom sauce—perfect for an easy and satisfying dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced or cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onion until soft.
  5. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce is smooth.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the creamy mushroom sauce.
  9. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  10. Garnish with parsley before serving.
