A creamy and flavorful shrimp pasta made with tender shrimp, garlic, parmesan cheese, and perfectly cooked pasta—an easy and satisfying seafood dinner.
Ingredients
- 250g pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
- 400g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Add lemon juice and mix well.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss in the sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and mix until fully coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
- Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor.
- Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra color.
- Adjust sauce thickness with more broth if needed.
