Ingredients
- 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh or properly thawed shrimp for best results.
- Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for variation.
