Ingredients
- 250g pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 400g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add chili flakes if using for extra heat.
- Return shrimp to the sauce and mix well.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
- Use fresh or properly thawed shrimp.
- Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
- Add bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor.
