Description

A spicy and silky creamy Cajun shrimp pasta packed with bold flavors, tender shrimp, and a rich, velvety sauce—perfect for a quick and indulgent dinner.


Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 400g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  6. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  7. Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Add chili flakes if using for extra heat.
  9. Return shrimp to the sauce and mix well.
  10. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
  11. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
  • Use fresh or properly thawed shrimp.
  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Add bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor.
