A bold and creamy Cajun-inspired dish combining tender steak, spicy seasoning, and cheesy pasta for a rich and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 250 g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye), sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Season sliced steak with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak strips for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and bell peppers until fragrant and slightly softened.
- Add beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then add Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Return steak to the pan and mix well.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for another 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by reducing or increasing Cajun seasoning and chili flakes.
- Use halal-certified beef if required.
- Reserve some pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
- Can substitute chicken for steak.
