Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked shredded birria beef
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or birria consommé
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Extra consommé for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread pizza sauce or a thin layer of birria consommé over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese evenly over the dough.
- Distribute shredded birria beef evenly across the surface.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the filling.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log.
- Slice into 1-inch rolls and place onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve warm with consommé for dipping.
