Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes on one side until pink.
- Flip the shrimp and cook another 1–2 minutes until fully cooked.
- Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook the shrimp or they may become rubbery.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce.
- Frozen shrimp can be used if thawed and patted dry.
- Add red pepper flakes for a little heat if desired.
