Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes on one side until pink.
  6. Flip the shrimp and cook another 1–2 minutes until fully cooked.
  7. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  8. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp or they may become rubbery.
  • Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce.
  • Frozen shrimp can be used if thawed and patted dry.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a little heat if desired.
