Description
A warm and creamy stuffed mushroom dip packed with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, herbs, and melted cheeses, perfect for serving with crackers or toasted bread.
Ingredients
- 2 cups finely chopped mushrooms
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until moisture evaporates.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Fold in the sautéed mushrooms until well mixed.
- Transfer mixture to a small baking dish and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top if using.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
- Serve warm with crackers, bread, or vegetables.
Notes
- Cook mushrooms thoroughly to avoid a watery dip.
- Add cooked crumbled sausage for a heartier version.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
