Description

Tuna Melt Toasts are a quick and satisfying meal made with a creamy tuna salad spread over toasted bread and topped with melted cheese. They’re perfect for an easy lunch, light dinner, or hearty snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bread (sourdough, white, or whole wheat)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven broiler or toaster oven.
  2. In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Lightly toast bread slices and butter if desired.
  4. Spread tuna mixture evenly over each toast.
  5. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Broil for 2–4 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add sliced tomatoes for extra freshness.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter option.
  • Best served immediately while cheese is melted.
