Tuna Melt Toasts are a quick and satisfying meal made with a creamy tuna salad spread over toasted bread and topped with melted cheese. They’re perfect for an easy lunch, light dinner, or hearty snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices bread (sourdough, white, or whole wheat)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for toasting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven broiler or toaster oven.
- In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Lightly toast bread slices and butter if desired.
- Spread tuna mixture evenly over each toast.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Broil for 2–4 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and serve warm.
