Description

Smash Burger Tacos combine the crispy, juicy flavor of a smash burger with the convenience of a taco. Seasoned ground beef is pressed directly onto a tortilla, seared until caramelized, then topped with cheese, pickles, and burger sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 small flour tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to create burger sauce. Set aside.
  2. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently press each portion evenly onto one side of each tortilla.
  3. Season beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  5. Place tortillas beef-side down in the skillet and press firmly to create a thin smash layer.
  6. Cook for 3–4 minutes until beef is browned and crispy.
  7. Flip tortillas and immediately top beef with a slice of American cheese.
  8. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until cheese melts and tortilla becomes lightly crisp.
  9. Remove from skillet and top with diced onions, pickles, shredded lettuce, and burger sauce.
  10. Fold like a taco and serve immediately.
