Description
Smash Burger Fries are crispy golden fries loaded with seasoned smashed ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and classic burger toppings. This indulgent comfort dish combines all the flavors of a smash burger in fun, shareable form.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 bag (about 24 oz) frozen French fries
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to French fries package instructions and bake fries until crispy and golden.
- While fries bake, heat a skillet over high heat.
- Add ground beef in small portions and press firmly with a spatula to create thin smashed pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cook until deeply browned and crispy on edges, about 3–4 minutes. Flip and cook 1–2 minutes more.
- Once fries are done, transfer to an oven-safe dish or keep on baking sheet.
- Sprinkle cooked beef evenly over fries.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and return to oven for 3–5 minutes until cheese melts.
- Drizzle with ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
- Finish with diced pickles, red onion, and smoked paprika if desired. Serve immediately.
