Description
Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry in Garlic Sauce is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp and crisp broccoli tossed in a savory garlic sauce. Perfect for a fast weeknight dinner served over rice.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry; set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the skillet and stir-fry broccoli for 2–3 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer until sauce thickens.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for 1–2 more minutes and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles.
- You can add chili flakes for extra heat.
- Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
