Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry in Garlic Sauce is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp and crisp broccoli tossed in a savory garlic sauce. Perfect for a fast weeknight dinner served over rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry; set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil to the skillet and stir-fry broccoli for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  7. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer until sauce thickens.
  8. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Cook for 1–2 more minutes and serve hot.

Notes

  • Serve over steamed rice or noodles.
  • You can add chili flakes for extra heat.
  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
