Description
Crispy oven-fried feta rolls wrapped in golden pastry and drizzled with sweet and spicy chili honey. A perfect balance of salty, crunchy, and lightly sweet flavors for an irresistible appetizer.
Ingredients
- 8 sheets phyllo dough (or spring roll wrappers)
- 8 oz feta cheese, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat feta dry and sprinkle with black pepper and parsley if using.
- Place one strip of feta near the edge of each phyllo sheet and roll tightly, folding in sides to seal.
- Brush rolls lightly with olive oil and place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, warm honey in a small saucepan and stir in red pepper flakes and lemon juice.
- Drizzle chili honey generously over hot feta rolls before serving.
Notes
- Keep phyllo covered with a damp towel to prevent drying.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to taste.
- Serve immediately for maximum crispiness.
