Description
A quick and healthy Keto Chinese Chicken Cabbage Stir-Fry made with tender chicken, crisp cabbage, and a savory low-carb soy-garlic sauce, perfect for a keto-friendly meal.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil or sesame oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup napa cabbage or coleslaw mix
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari (low sodium)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar-free sweetener (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the pan and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shredded cabbage and stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.
- Return chicken to the pan and stir to combine.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sweetener if using. Toss well to coat.
- Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
- Do not overcook cabbage to keep it slightly crunchy.
- Add chili flakes or sriracha for heat.
