Ingredients
- 4 Italian sausages (mild or spicy)
- 2 bell peppers (red, yellow, or green), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat.
- Add sausages and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 8–10 minutes. Remove sausages from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add sliced peppers and onions. Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic, oregano, and basil; cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth and balsamic vinegar (if using), and stir to combine.
- Return sausages to the pan, cover, and simmer for 10–15 minutes until sausages are cooked through and the flavors meld together.
- Serve hot, either as a main dish with a side or in sub rolls for a sandwich.
