Description
Sweet, savory, and perfectly caramelized sticky wings coated in a rich glaze, baked until tender and finished with a glossy, finger-licking sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Pat wings dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Arrange wings on the rack and bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, and ketchup.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
- If a thicker glaze is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce, cooking until glossy.
- Toss baked wings in the sticky glaze until evenly coated.
- Return to oven for 5–7 minutes to caramelize.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
- Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing honey.
