Description

Sweet, savory, and perfectly caramelized sticky wings coated in a rich glaze, baked until tender and finished with a glossy, finger-licking sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat wings dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Arrange wings on the rack and bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
  4. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, and ketchup.
  5. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. If a thicker glaze is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce, cooking until glossy.
  7. Toss baked wings in the sticky glaze until evenly coated.
  8. Return to oven for 5–7 minutes to caramelize.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing honey.
