Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pie dish.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until edges are golden brown and center is slightly set but still gooey.
- Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm for extra gooey texture.
