Description

A simple and flavorful savory dish made with tender cauliflower florets and mushrooms sautéed in garlic and olive oil, perfect as a healthy side or light main.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook for 4–5 minutes until they release moisture and begin to brown.
  4. Add cauliflower florets, salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  5. Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cauliflower is tender.
  6. Remove lid and cook an additional 2–3 minutes for light browning.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice before serving.
  • You can roast the vegetables instead of sautéing for a crispier texture.
  • Pairs well with grilled proteins or served over rice.
