Ingredients
- 1 lb sea scallops
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat scallops dry with paper towels and place them in a greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the scallops.
- In another bowl, combine Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over the scallops.
- Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, until scallops are opaque and topping is lightly golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overbake scallops, as they can become rubbery.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
- You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
