Description

Easy Boston Cream Pie Stuffed Hawaiian Rolls are soft sweet rolls filled with creamy vanilla pudding and topped with rich chocolate ganache for a simple, crowd-pleasing dessert.


Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Refrigerate 5–10 minutes.
  2. Using a small knife, cut a small pocket into the bottom or side of each Hawaiian roll.
  3. Spoon or pipe pudding into each roll until filled.
  4. Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until just simmering.
  5. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and butter in a bowl. Let sit 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Spoon or drizzle chocolate ganache over the tops of the filled rolls.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to set before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overfill to prevent leaks.
  • Best served chilled.
  • Can be made a few hours ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
