Description
Easy Boston Cream Pie Stuffed Hawaiian Rolls are soft sweet rolls filled with creamy vanilla pudding and topped with rich chocolate ganache for a simple, crowd-pleasing dessert.
Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Refrigerate 5–10 minutes.
- Using a small knife, cut a small pocket into the bottom or side of each Hawaiian roll.
- Spoon or pipe pudding into each roll until filled.
- Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until just simmering.
- Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and butter in a bowl. Let sit 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Spoon or drizzle chocolate ganache over the tops of the filled rolls.
- Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to set before serving.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent leaks.
- Best served chilled.
- Can be made a few hours ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
