Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts are crispy, golden-fried chicken breasts coated in a crunchy batter and finished with a sticky, sweet-and-savory honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, then again into the flour mixture to create a double coating.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Fry chicken in batches for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
- Simmer over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour honey garlic sauce over the crispy chicken before serving.
