Description

Crockpot Cheesesteak Potato Casserole is a hearty, comforting slow-cooker dish combining tender potatoes, seasoned beef, peppers, onions, and melted cheese inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients

  • 700 g beef sirloin or ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Cooking spray for crockpot

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the crockpot with cooking spray.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add beef and cook until browned; season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Add garlic and Worcestershire sauce; stir and remove from heat.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the crockpot.
  6. Top with half of the beef, peppers, onions, and cheese.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  8. Pour beef broth evenly over the casserole.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender.
  10. Serve hot once cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Slice potatoes thinly for even cooking.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if preferred.
