Description

Egg Rolls are crispy, golden-fried appetizers filled with a savory mixture of seasoned chicken and vegetables, perfect as a snack or party favorite.


Ingredients

  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 300 g ground chicken
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for filling)
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink.
  3. Add garlic, cabbage, carrots, and green onions; cook until vegetables soften.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Remove filling from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner facing you.
  7. Add 2–3 tbsp filling near the corner, fold sides inward, and roll tightly.
  8. Seal edge with a little water.
  9. Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
  10. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  11. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overfill wrappers to prevent bursting.
  • Egg rolls can be baked or air-fried for a lighter version.
  • Serve with sweet chili or soy dipping sauce.
