Description
Egg Rolls are crispy, golden-fried appetizers filled with a savory mixture of seasoned chicken and vegetables, perfect as a snack or party favorite.
Ingredients
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 300 g ground chicken
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for filling)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink.
- Add garlic, cabbage, carrots, and green onions; cook until vegetables soften.
- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove filling from heat and let cool slightly.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner facing you.
- Add 2–3 tbsp filling near the corner, fold sides inward, and roll tightly.
- Seal edge with a little water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
- Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Do not overfill wrappers to prevent bursting.
- Egg rolls can be baked or air-fried for a lighter version.
- Serve with sweet chili or soy dipping sauce.
