Description

Crispy baked green bean fries coated in a seasoned breadcrumb crust, finished with fresh garlic and bright lemon for a crunchy, zesty snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Dredge green beans in flour, dip into eggs, then coat evenly with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Arrange coated green beans in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Lightly spray with cooking spray or olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, flip, then bake another 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs.
  • Air fryer option: cook at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway.
