Description

A comforting pasta dish featuring tender chicken and penne pasta tossed in a rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for an easy yet indulgent dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340 g) penne pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir and simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the cooked penne pasta.
  9. Toss everything together until evenly coated in the sauce.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best sauce texture.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
  • If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of pasta water.
