Description

Cream Cheese & Bacon Stuffed Doritos are a crispy, cheesy appetizer made by sandwiching seasoned cream cheese and crispy bacon between Doritos chips, then coating and frying them until golden and crunchy. They’re a bold, indulgent party snack packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 24 large Doritos chips (nacho cheese flavor)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and finely crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and black pepper until combined.
  2. Spread about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto one Doritos chip and gently press another chip on top to form a sandwich. Repeat with remaining chips.
  3. Place stuffed chips in the freezer for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Prepare a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
  5. Carefully dredge each stuffed chip in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crispiness.
  6. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry stuffed Doritos in small batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Freezing helps prevent the filling from leaking during frying.
  • Handle gently to avoid breaking the chips.
  • Air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes as a lighter option.
  • Serve with ranch or spicy dipping sauce.
