Classic Baked Noodles are a comforting, family-style casserole made with tender pasta, savory sauce, and melted cheese baked until bubbly and golden.
Ingredients
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
- 2 cups marinara or tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked noodles with the sauce and mix well.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

- Add vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
