Chocolate Trifles are elegant layered desserts made with rich chocolate cake, creamy chocolate pudding or mousse, and fluffy whipped cream, served in individual glasses for a decadent treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups chocolate cake, cubed (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups chocolate pudding or chocolate mousse
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Prepare serving glasses or bowls.
- Place a layer of chocolate cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add a layer of chocolate pudding or mousse over the cake.
- Add a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat layers until glasses are filled, ending with whipped cream.
- Top with chocolate shavings or chocolate chips.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
