Description

Chocolate Melted Cake Slice and Sundae is a decadent dessert featuring a warm, gooey chocolate lava-style cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with rich chocolate sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving
  • Chocolate sauce, for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease small ramekins or a baking dish.
  2. Melt butter and dark chocolate together until smooth; let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and thick.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Fold melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  6. Gently fold in flour until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared ramekins or pan.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but center is soft and molten.
  9. Let rest for 1 minute, then slice or unmold.
  10. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep the center molten.
  • Best served immediately while warm.
