Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
- Chocolate sauce, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease small ramekins or a baking dish.
- Melt butter and dark chocolate together until smooth; let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and thick.
- Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Fold melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
- Gently fold in flour until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared ramekins or pan.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but center is soft and molten.
- Let rest for 1 minute, then slice or unmold.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep the center molten.
- Best served immediately while warm.
- Add whipped cream or berries for extra garnish.
