Description

Chocolate Covered Banana Brownies are rich, fudgy brownies layered with fresh bananas and topped with a smooth chocolate ganache for a decadent dessert twist.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Spread brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20–22 minutes until set but still fudgy.
  7. Remove brownies from oven and arrange banana slices evenly on top.
  8. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until just simmering.
  9. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  10. Pour chocolate ganache over bananas and spread evenly.
  11. Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing.
