Description
Chocolate Covered Banana Brownies are rich, fudgy brownies layered with fresh bananas and topped with a smooth chocolate ganache for a decadent dessert twist.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
- Spread brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20–22 minutes until set but still fudgy.
- Remove brownies from oven and arrange banana slices evenly on top.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until just simmering.
- Pour hot cream over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Pour chocolate ganache over bananas and spread evenly.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture.
- Store brownies in the refrigerator.
- Best served slightly chilled.
