Cheesy Ground Beef Noodle Casserole is a comforting family-style dish made with tender egg noodles, seasoned ground beef, and a creamy, cheesy sauce baked until bubbly and golden.
Ingredients
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a casserole dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
- Add garlic and ground beef; cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles, beef mixture, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the cheeses.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared casserole dish.
- Top with remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use halal ground beef if needed.
- Add peas or corn for extra texture and flavor.
- Leftovers reheat well and taste even better the next day.
