Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk

- 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and finely diced
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients, alternating with milk.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Fill cupcake liners about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cupcakes completely.
- Beat caramel sauce, heavy cream, and powdered sugar to make frosting.
- Frost cupcakes and drizzle with extra caramel if desired.
