Description
Buffalo wings are crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy, tangy buffalo sauce made with hot sauce and butter, perfect as an appetizer or game-day snack.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Celery sticks, for serving
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil and a wire rack.
- Pat chicken wings very dry with paper towels.
- Toss wings with baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Arrange wings on the wire rack in a single layer.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden.
- In a saucepan, whisk together hot sauce, melted butter, vinegar, and garlic powder. Warm gently.
- Transfer baked wings to a large bowl.
- Pour buffalo sauce over wings and toss until fully coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks and dressing.

- Adjust heat level by using mild or extra-hot sauce.
