Description

Buffalo wings are crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy, tangy buffalo sauce made with hot sauce and butter, perfect as an appetizer or game-day snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Celery sticks, for serving
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil and a wire rack.
  2. Pat chicken wings very dry with paper towels.
  3. Toss wings with baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Arrange wings on the wire rack in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden.
  6. In a saucepan, whisk together hot sauce, melted butter, vinegar, and garlic powder. Warm gently.
  7. Transfer baked wings to a large bowl.
  8. Pour buffalo sauce over wings and toss until fully coated.
  9. Serve immediately with celery sticks and dressing.
