Description

Juicy baked Cajun shrimp seasoned with bold spices and roasted to perfection for a quick, flavorful, and healthy seafood dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  4. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.
  5. Arrange shrimp in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overbake shrimp or they will become rubbery.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning based on desired spice level.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or roasted vegetables.
